ALUMNI SUCCESS GRANTS
The Alumni Success grant provides seed funds to individual social change makers with foster care/adoption histories (Alumni/Adoptees), 25 and over, across the nation. While our grant funding is meant for purely charitable efforts, we will launch our Pay It Forward Loans to support startup social change enterprises that are designed to make a profit in 2019.
WHO IS QUALIFIED FOR AN ALUMNI SUCCESS GRANT?
Adults 25 and over with foster care/adoption histories

“ALUMNI SUCCESS" GRANTS CAN BE USED FOR:
Renting or purchasing equipment necessary to do a project. Some items that we’ll considering funding in this category include yoga mats and props, a projector, a bike trailer, tools.
Outreach materials. We are open to funding promotional postcards, videos, graphic design, flyers and website fees.
Corporate/nonprofit filing fees
Expert support to help with the project launch. Services including graphic design, website programming, technological support, video editing, legal, accounting set up, business planning, fundraising support and program evaluation.
Program launch costs. Examples include travel, lodging and other travel/conference expenses if they are crucially important to launching a project/organization.
Support Our Foster Youth Grant
The Purpose of the Support Our Foster Youth (SOFY) Grant is to provide small scholarships to young adults in and from foster care between the ages of 18-25 that are enrolled in Community College, University or Vocational Institutions in DC, Maryland and Virginia, helping them with expenses that may otherwise prevent them from finishing their education. Students will be able to use these funds for expenses such as food, gas and electric, bus fare, daycare, rent, tuition and other living expenses.
